Sr. Content Marketing Specialist (SEO)
We're looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to own and maintain our e-commerce website content. You'll write SEO-driven blog posts, manage product and category page content, and support promotional campaigns. This role requires a blend of strong writing ability, empathy, and practical SEO knowledge.
Requirements
- •5+ years of experience in content marketing, blogging, or editorial writing
- •Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately
- •Experience managing website content or maintaining content libraries
- •Understanding of SEO fundamentals and search intent
- •Ability to translate complex or emotional topics into simple, supportive guidance
- •Strong organizational and project management skills
- •Experience writing about funerals, memorial services, grief, or related topics (preferred)
- •Experience writing SEO-driven blog and website content (preferred)
- •Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS platforms (preferred)
- •Experience updating and maintaining website content for e-commerce or product sites (preferred)
Responsibilities
- •Maintain and improve written content across the website including category pages, product descriptions, educational pages, and landing pages
- •Ensure content clearly explains products, their use during funeral services, and personalization options
- •Develop and update content for seasonal promotions, new product launches, and design collections
- •Keep website and blog content fresh by updating older articles, expanding frequently searched topics, and improving clarity
- •Identify content and product opportunities based on customer questions and search trends
- •Write clear, compassionate blog posts guiding families through memorial service planning — celebration of life services, funeral etiquette, memorial keepsake ideas
- •Research and write top-of-funnel blog posts aligned with common funeral planning searches (e.g. what to include in a funeral program, how to write an obituary)
- •Apply SEO best practices: clear headings, well-structured content, and thoughtful internal linking between blog posts, category pages, and product pages
- •Collaborate with Brand Manager on voice and tone, CTO on website initiatives and content structure, and Marketing Team on blog distribution and social media content
